SPOKEN STREAM

About

Hear ideas in the speaker’s own words.

Hamdan Azhar built Spoken Stream to make large archives of recorded speech searchable—and to let people hear the original moments for themselves.

01

How it works

Choose a person, search a topic, and Spoken Stream finds matching moments in the available transcripts. The original public recordings then play back-to-back from the source that published them.

Spoken Stream indexes public source recordings; it does not download or rehost the video.

02

What is included

Archives are selected for clear first-person speech, useful transcript coverage, and a trustworthy connection between the person and the recording. Some archives are deeper than others, and the directory can grow as suitable public material is found and checked.

Inclusion is not an endorsement by Spoken Stream. Featured speakers do not necessarily know about, approve, or endorse this project.

03

Limits and source context

Search depends on the recordings and captions available for each archive. Coverage can be incomplete, and automatic or publisher-supplied transcripts can contain errors. A missing result does not prove that a speaker never discussed the subject.

Every playable result stays connected to its source video and timestamp so listeners can check the surrounding context. See the Sources page for more.

04

Corrections and removal

If a transcript, attribution, source, or description appears wrong—or if you want to request removal—please send the page and a short explanation through Feedback & corrections.
